I cannot thank Paul Chittick and his team at Michael Hutchinson Funerals enough for helping to organise a beautiful and respectful Vietnamese Buddhist service for our father. From our first conversation, Paul was professional, caring, courteous and patient. We needed time to digest what had happened, what needed to be done and consider what Dad would’ve wanted, and Paul and his team were able to help us every step of the way through this difficult process. Paul and Ian always replied our messages and phone calls in a timely manner and went above and beyond by providing extra services such as certifying and mailing multiple copies of important documents and printing colour photographs of my father for a memorial guest book. Paul and Leia took great care in liaising with our monk, the Master of Ceremony and the chapel organiser so that the service proceeded smoothly. They even provided appropriate religious ornaments and extra seats and tables to accommodate all the extra friends and family who were unable to fit into the main chapel. Paul, we are thankful to have met you. You have a great team who do an extraordinarily important job. When the time comes, I have no hesitation in recommending that you entrust your departed loved ones to Paul Chittick at Michael Hutchinson Funerals.
Michael Hutchinson at Oxley took care of my Dad when he died earlier this year. I congratulate Sally on the way she conducted affairs. I had dreaded that conversation my whole life, and really didn’t know how I was going to handle it, as the fake grief of many directors angers me. But Sally was perfect – no pretended misery, no false solemnity. She was sensitive but businesslike and natural. Her approach helped me through one of the worst days of my life.
Also, they offered exactly what we needed at a reasonable price – after the cremation, we had a small family gathering around the campfire, and in the morning took Dad’s ashes out into Moreton Bay. It was the perfect thing to do for this man, and you made it possible. I heartily recommend Michael Hutchinson at Oxley to anyone who has lost a loved one.
