A google search and recommendations via the Bayside Hub introduced us to Carly at Greenhaven Funerals
We knew we needed to start making arrangements for mum but had no idea where to start. Yes we needed to contact a funeral provider but, other than that we were somewhat overwhelmed with the whole situation.
I made a call to Carly and was instantly reassured everything would be ok.
I discussed our initial thoughts and with some input from Carly it all just fell into place.
What we thought was going to be a huge emotional and difficult decision became a calm and considered decision
As crazy as it may seem we literally could not believe what we achieved as a family who had lost their beautiful mother aged 94 and all agreed this was due to the amazing connection we had with Carly – we actually loved the day – it was a Happy day
For most the general perception re the process of a funeral has been : viewing, church, wake. We did not want this and it was just so refreshing to be able to explore the different options with Carly. Greenhaven is certainly a provider of choice if you are looking for a more personalised and individualised service. Everything was transparent, there was no hard sell, we felt we were listened to and given the time and opportunity to choose how we as a family wanted such an important event to play out.
Our first experience with Greenhaven was in December 2019, we have since had another need to call on Greenhaven in February 2020 and again the support and care we received was exceptional
I guess for most of us we all fear death, losing that special someone in our world that we love. The thought of planning a funeral and saying goodbye for most is such an unwanted experience, something we really would prefer to avoid but can’t. I can honestly say that for me Carly and the team at Greenhaven shifted that fear and created a positive and honest experience for our families
