    zipMoney is the trading name of Zip Co Limited, a public company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. Zip Co Limited is a licensed and regulated credit provider (Australian Credit Licence Number 441878).

    What else do I need to know?

    Although zipMoney allows you to purchase the funeral today without paying anything upfront – it is a loan and must be paid back. Failure to do so could affect your future credit rating.

    zipMoney’s payment plans are interest-free for up to 3 months, but please be aware that interest will start to accrue after the interest-free period.

    How do I find the funeral directors who offer interest-free finance?

    When you perform a comparison search on our website, you can identify funeral directors who offer finance by looking for the orange “OFFERS FINANCE” badge that will appear on their listing.

    Can anyone apply for interest-free finance?

    You must be 18 years of age, an Australian citizen or resident, and employed in some capacity. Home ownership also increases your chances of approval.

    Does everyone get approved for interest-free finance?

    No. zipMoney is focussed on approving credit for prime, near prime and emerging prime consumers. It does not target consumers who are unlikely to be able to repay the credit.

    Like zipMoney, Gathered Here believes payday lending practices to those who do not have the means to repay ultimately causes long-term financial damage to individuals.

    What is the maximum limit for finance?

    Finance is available for purchases up to $10,000. The customer will need to pay any amount in excess of $10,000 up front.

    Can I purchase a Prepaid Funeral on finance?

    At this stage, zipMoney cannot be used to purchase a prepaid funeral.

    What are the minimum monthly payments?

    Starting from the end of your second month, the minimum monthly repayment amount is the greater of $40 or 3% of your outstanding balance.

    What fees are payable to zipMoney?

    • No deposit, so nothing to pay today.
    • A one-off establishment fee (of between $25 – $99) if you do not already have a zipMoney account. This is added to your interest-free balance so there is no upfront payment.
    • An interest-free period of 3 months, after which interest will accrue at the standard annual percentage rate.
    • A monthly admin fee of $6 (only payable if a balance is owing).

    The establishment fee depends on the amount of finance you are approved for:

    • $1 – $2,000: $25
    • $2,001 – $3,000: $49
    • $3,001 – $4,000: $75
    • $4,001+: $99

    Please note these fees may change from time to time, so refer to your contract for full details.

    How do we get a rebate for fees paid to zipMoney?

    In order to offer customers a finance solution that is effectively interest-free and fee-free for 3 months, Gathered Here rebates customers for the establishment fee and monthly admin fee paid to zipMoney in the first 3 months.

    After the 3 month term, simply email finance@gatheredhere.com.au and provide the following details:

    • Bank account number and BSB of the account to which you want us to transfer the rebate
    • Total of the establishment fee and monthly fees paid in the first 3 months
    • Full name, phone number and email (matching the details of your zipMoney application)

    Once we receive your email, we will process your rebate within 5 business days.
